CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
@ Aiea Heights Church we LOVE children!
We seek to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ for the glory of God by evangelizing and caring for our children, by equipping and working together with parents to build a biblical foundation of faith in their children, and by preparing the children to know, proclaim, and defend the truths of the gospel at home, in their community, and on our island.
Nursery
Nursery provides loving care for infants and toddlers (birth–24+ months). Parents can drop off little ones and attend the worship service with peace of mind. We see the Nursery as a child's first step toward a relationship with Christ.
Do I need to bring anything for my child?
If possible, please bring a labeled diaper bag with disposable diapers, a change of clothes, a labeled pacifier, and a filled and labeled bottle or sippy cup.
Have a new baby, or are you expecting?
We’d love to welcome you and provide helpful information about the Nursery.
Anyone interested in helping in the Nursery or have any questions, please contact our Nursery Coordinator: Lisa Tominaga.
Keiki Church
After the gathering of God’s people for worship, the children ages 5 years old - 5th grade will be dismissed to their class. They will experience a time of worship that focuses on teaching about who God is as well as what our response should be to Him. They will engage with their faith through interactive games, singing, Biblical storytelling and times of response.
I’m new to Aiea Heights. Is there anything I should do first?
Welcome! Please stop by the Welcome Center on the second floor. We’ll be glad to help you register your child and find the Nursery and show you our classrooms.
Check in Procedures
Please visit the check in station (located on the 2nd floor of our facility) to register your child prior to the start of the service. In order to keep our children safe, each child will need to be checked in and picked up by the parent (or assigned adult).
What security measures are in place? How can I keep in touch?
We will use a parent’s mobile phone number to notify you by text if needed in the Nursery.
Children receive a unique security tag each time they are checked in at a kiosk.
Parents receive a matching tag with the child's security number to show at pick-up.
